Basket Safety and Use

Moses baskets are a wonderful sleeping space for your new little one to rest, nap and sleep. Below is more information about safety and use.

The safest place for your baby to sleep is on their own sleep surface, in the same room as you, for at least the first six months. A Moses basket is a safe place for a baby to sleep.

Make sure your baby’s mattress or pad is in good condition or new and that it fits the Moses basket properly. No gaps and fits snug.

Use only fitted sheets that go around the whole mattress pad or organic futon with elastic to keep it in place.

Pediatricians recommended that all healthy infants are placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician.

Moses basket should always be placed on a firm flat surface. It should never be placed near stairs or on tables or elevated surfaces

Keep Moses basket away from stoves, heaters, camp fire/flames, fireplaces, stairs, open windows, window blinds, running or standing water and any other hazard which could cause injury to your baby.
